Maryland’s highest court has ruled that pit bulls and cross-bred pit bulls are inherently dangerous because of an aggressive and vicious nature and the breed’s capability to inflict serious and sometimes fatal injuries.  As such, harboring of pit bulls by tenants is an inherently dangerous activity for which landlords may be held strictly liable.  Opinion filed April 26, 2012.
